Style: Krav Maga
Been training in KM for about 3 years now. Great style, simple and effective, geared towards stamina and real life situations.
Great mix of stand up and ground techniques. Great for MMA training or excellent to supplement with BJJ.
hello,
have not run across kravmaga often. could you explain some of the particulars?
thanks.
what particulars are you looking for?

hello,
anything would be helpful. so far it has seemed less a system and more an idea (something like jkd).
thanks.
I might suggest multiple styles which seems to be a good way to go if you are into competition/mma and not just interested in a "pure" one style sport.
For me I chose jui jitsu and muay thai, my background is wrestling and boxing so this is the best one/two for me to explore and move beyond what i already know.
I hate the people say certain styles are better than others, its the fighter not the style. Anway i tried taekwondo until i got black belt, then i did muay thai and boxing, and now im currently in kempo karate/chinse kempo/kali stick fighting, the best thing to do is practice all day every day and take what you like from certain fighting styles and ditch the parts you dont like, making your own personal style.
everyone is going to have their preference and is going to back the style that they are familiar with. I agree that the best way to find out what style suits you best is to get out there and try a few different style until you find the one that you are comfortable with and is effective for you.
I disagree with the statement that its the fighter and not the style. To some degree you are correct, but there will always be a style that is better than another style in certain situations. I have taken Tae kwon Do and now I have taken Krav Maga for the last 4 years and I do Muay Thai and started BJJ recently. I can honestly say that for real world application, like a street fight, I would consider Krav Maga a MUCH more effective style than Tae Kwon Do.
Same with MMA. There are many styles that are better to combine for this sport than others.
Also, the reality is that very few people can train all day and everyday in different styles, as you put it, to come up with their own style. Just not realistic unless that is the business you make money in.
Well i dont mean what fighting style in certain situations, im talking about what your capabale of doing, for example there is no possible way ill ever be good at grappling, its just not something my body or mind can get insync with and do, but im very very good at standing fights, taekwnodo expecially, or boxing. So im talking about what you can do, not everyone was a whole.
Keep your ****ing hands up!
