    Need some info

What up ppl.. im from the Cayman Islands. You might have heard of it. Anyways im into alot of fitness training and Kick boxing. I watch alot of the fighters from Pride and to be honest im really into MMA. I just recently started a boxing programme and im enjoying it alot. There having a full contact fight tournament in the next 2 weeks where i live and i really wanted to enter it but like i said i just started out and i probably get killed. I was wondering if there was anyone here that could take me through step by step by telling me useful exercises and training methods to help me to reach my goal. My goal is to someday participate in Pridefc. My boxing coach is pretty good and i told him im into MMA but to be honest hes just a boxing coach. I would have to go to the karate instructors here to show me ground work and useful submissions. If theres anyone here that could help im very dedicated(very) im putting my all into this and i just need someone to give me that extra push. im doing boxing now like i said, but i also need to work on my knees and round house kicks, front kicks anything that would be useful in a MMA fight. Basically im asking someone here whos very exp in this and have been doing this for quite sometime and know what there talking about to take me under there wing. I have a digital camera i will record my training exercises and show you my progress if you are able to help me. peace

    hello,

well. that's a tall order. for right now, stick with your current trainer. build a base. spend about six months to one year with this coach.

now. where do you currently reside? still in the caymans? only asking to assess your access to various types of training. this will make it easier to "guide" you further.

as far as workout routines, stick to sport specific programs. there are many books on the market that address this subject.

in a nutshell, you (being a kickboxer) should stick to cardio work and plyometric work. your instructor should be able to help you with this.

give a shout back with some specifics if you need more!

    thanks
