    fat loss

ok i am about 290 and aroud 5' 11" and i need to cut some fat so i can start building muscle, any suggestions? I currently use hydroxy cut before my workouts but i am seeing no effect in my overall performance or weight wise. so if you know of anything to help my cut some fat that would be great.

Uhhhh.... It might help to give us an idea of what your workout consists of. If all your doing is weight training don't expect to lose much. All I can suggest is lots of cardio (like running). And I mean lots, and lots and lots of cardio.

do your cardio in the mornings on an empty stomach....take your fat buner at least 20 minutes before and get to it......you will drop weight faster then ever....believe me this works because in the morning on an empty stomach all of your fuel is coming from your stored fat source because you have not eat anything yet....when you do cardio in the evenings it is coming from food that you ate that day....combination of carbs ,fat, and protein.....if that makes sense....dude i promise this works....give it a shot for two weeks and see the difference......you also need to eat alot of protein to build muscle....the more muscle the more calories are burned.....good luck.......

    Yo

Hey it would help if you also gave us an idea what your diet consists of as its not very useful to do lots of exercise and just go and eat some food that is stuffed with calories, and for exercise i would also recommend a cardio vascular workout (rowing, running, jump rope, cycling etc) to help you burn fat.

However if you wish to build up your size i suggest you do a weight workout, this should help you build up your muscle mass. Taking protein supplements may help you do this as well.

I would finally recommend that you consruct yourself a exercise program that at the start is mainly cardio focused to help you burn fat then as you start to lose weight start to incorperate more weight exercises into your workout. Doing this should hellp you reach your goal.

armflailers advice is a little off, not to flame but just for anyone reading in the future.

cardio is great for conditioning, like enduring a long fight with plenty of gas.

everyone else is on point, except people dont seem to understand how much weight training lends to trimming up too. there are people that do nothing but train weights and are ripped to every striation...

it really depends on your goals, what you want to accomplish.

most fighters want power producing muscle in their arsenal and that would depend on explosive exercise like squats, dead lift, clean and jerk, which will melt fat off you. as long as your calorie intake is right.

cardio is great for conditioning, like enduring a long fight with plenty of gas. but dont forget the explosion.

    hello,

ok, a little clarification is in order here.

one: ditch the hydroxycut. you don't need that. noone does. it wastes your time and money. think about it... hydro (water) cut (loss). before a workout? the genius who thought of this should be shot.

two: cardio work and fatburning work are two different things. cardio work is what you do to increase your stamina (like training for a fight). fatburning work is also called aerobic excercise. this is what you do for fat loss.

three: fat loss and wieght loss are only distantly connected. you can lose fat and therefore some wieght. but if you gain muscle in its place, you will end up heavier than you started. ignore water loss. do not strive for this. it is not good for you.

four: building muscle leads to fat loss as well. each muscle cell burns calories. if you have more muscles cells, you burn more calories.

five: cardio work is NOT conducive to building muscle. in fact, excessive cardio work will greatly inhibit your ability to build muscle (there is a long winded explaination for this).

six: developing specific fitness/sports goals will help everyone (especially yourself) come up with a game plan for you.

so let us know. and we'll let you know!! looking foreward to it.

    thanks

dude wait a minute, you have got to remember that muscle weighs more than fat, so if all you do is weight lift, its pretty crazy your not gaining weight, meaning you must be loosing fat.
    Keep your ****ing hands up!
